The outlet says Wikipedia and several published profiles have stated that she was born on December 5, 1970, but Babalanda told Watchdog Uganda that the correct date is December 25, 1970. She said the incorrect date has been repeatedly cited and that the error concerns her.

The report frames the correction as part of a wider profile of Babalanda’s public career. Watchdog Uganda says she was born in Nalinaibi Village in Kamuli District and, after an early academic setback, became active in grassroots political mobilisation in Busoga. The article links her rise to community organising, rural women’s empowerment work, and later contact with senior political figures including Rebecca Kadaga and President Yoweri Museveni.

According to the publisher, Babalanda entered formal government service in 2014 as Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Busia before moving into the Office of the National Chairman of the ruling National Resistance Movement, where she later became head of the office.
