Minister Ogwang Urges UPDF to Speed Up Hoima Projects Ahead of Caf Inspection

State Minister for Sports Peter Ogwang has called on the UPDF Engineering Brigade to hasten work on two Hoima projects as Uganda prepares for a CAF inspection linked to AFCON 2027. According to Nile Post, he made the remarks while visiting the construction sites for Boma Grounds and a new accident and emergency ward at Hoima Regional Referral Hospital.

The sports facility is being developed as an AFCON training venue, while the hospital ward is intended to support medical response during the tournament. Ogwang was joined by National Council of Sports chairman Ambrose Tashobya and Secretary General Dr Bernard Ogwal.
