‘Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ set decorator slain, husband found dead in family already scarred by home killing - Fox News

What the report says
Fox News reported that Mary Kate Golding, a 34-year-old set decorator whose credits included “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel,” was found fatally stabbed at her home in Queens, New York, shortly after midnight Tuesday. The NYPD told Fox News Digital that officers responded to a 911 call about an assault and found Golding with a stab wound to her back. She was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to the Fox report, Golding’s husband, Joseph Azzaretto, 33, was later found dead in Astoria Park in what authorities and cited reports described as an apparent murder-suicide. Fox attributed additional details to the New York Post, including that Azzaretto allegedly called a friend of Golding’s and a family member and confessed. The report said the friend found Golding dead in the home and the couple’s baby nearby.
Fox cited IMDb and social media profiles in describing Golding’s work in television set decoration and design, listing credits such as “Goosebumps,” “Mr. and Mrs. Smith,” “Hawkeye” and “Gone Girls: The Long Island Serial Killer.” Fox also reported that she appeared to have attended New York University and was a new mother.
The article included background, attributed to the New York Post, on an earlier killing in Azzaretto’s family: his brother Nicholas was accused of fatally shooting their father, Frank Azzaretto, during a 2020 family dispute in Pennsylvania. Fox said Nicholas Azzaretto later pleaded guilty to involuntary manslaughter and received probation and electronic monitoring. Fox reported it contacted Amazon, which streams “The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel.”
