Man Utd a circus after Martinez comments - Keane

What the report says
Former Manchester United captain Roy Keane has described the club as being in “chaos” and “like a circus” after Lisandro Martinez publicly criticised the team’s hierarchy, according to BBC Sport Football. Martinez’s remarks followed United’s 2-0 defeat by Atletico Madrid in the Champions League, a result that left the club without a win in five matches. The defender said United should have strengthened the squad over the summer after qualifying for the competition and also pointed to expectations around technical director Jason Wilcox.
Speaking on The Overlap podcast, Keane said the comments reflected wider problems at Old Trafford and argued that players should first look at their own performances during a difficult spell. He also suggested there were questions about the current dressing room leadership and said Martinez, in his view, was not yet operating as one of the team’s senior figures.
The BBC report also said former United defender Gary Neville criticised the timing and tone of Martinez’s comments, calling them a direct attack on teammates. Martinez later posted on social media that he had spoken out of anger and frustration. United are due to visit Leeds United in the Premier League on Sunday. The situation matters because it adds to scrutiny of the club’s squad depth, leadership and internal unity during a run of poor results.
