Liverpool sign Spanish midfielder Ramos

Liverpool have completed the signing of Spanish midfielder Natalia Ramos from CD Tenerife Femenino, with the move still subject to visa approval and international clearance, BBC Sport Football reported. The 27-year-old joins as the club’s sixth addition of the summer and arrives on a permanent transfer from the Liga F side.

Ramos spent the bulk of her career at Tenerife, making more than 200 appearances and featuring 30 times in Spain’s top division last season. BBC Sport said she contributed 10 goals and five assists in that campaign, underlining the attacking output she can bring from midfield.

In comments carried by BBC Sport, Ramos said she was happy and excited about the move and described it as a straightforward decision. She also said she understood the club’s reputation and felt privileged to join. Liverpool’s recruitment drive has already included Mao Itamura, Vivien Endemann, Sara Agrez, Mari Ward and Khiara Keating.

Ramos has also represented Spain at under-17 and under-19 level, and was part of the squad that won the 2017 Women’s European Under-19 Championship in Northern Ireland. The signing adds further depth to Liverpool’s squad ahead of the new season and reflects the club’s continued investment in its women’s team.
