Live updates: US-Iran war, Rubio warns Tehran ‘not serious’ about talks, US strikes continue - CNN

What the report says
CNN reported in live updates that the US military carried out a 12th straight night of strikes against Iran, with US Central Command saying the latest operation ended at 10:30 p.m. ET. CENTCOM said American forces hit Iranian military targets tied to maritime operations, missile and drone storage, coastal surveillance and air defenses, while also resuming a sea blockade. CNN said CENTCOM did not give a precise count of Wednesday’s targets.
The updates came amid escalating threats around key shipping routes. President Donald Trump warned that the US would destroy a bridge or power plant each time Iran targeted a ship in the Strait of Hormuz. CNN, citing Reuters, reported that Iran’s Revolutionary Guard said an oil tanker caught fire after an explosion south of the strait, though CNN said it could not verify the claim. The headline also said Secretary of State Marco Rubio warned Tehran was “not serious” about talks.
CNN also reported that Yemen’s Iran-backed Houthis claimed attacks on two Saudi-flagged oil tankers in the Red Sea after announcing a blockade on Saudi ships. Saudi state media said one vessel, the Encelia, caught fire at the bow and that all crew members were safe; CNN said Saudi Arabia had not commented on the second vessel and that the Houthi claims were not independently verified.
In the United States, Trump attended the dignified transfer at Dover Air Force Base of four service members killed in the war. CNN also reported that Britain was pulling diplomatic staff from Iran because of security conditions, while a US Navy amphibious group with about 2,200 Marines returned to Okinawa after an earlier Middle East deployment.
