Eldense said Messi is close to acquiring 100 percent of the shares held by Colombian investment group TH Soluciones Group SAS, which is currently the majority owner. Eldense is currently in 20th place in the Segunda Division standings.

If completed, the move would give Messi ownership of a second Spanish club after his reported purchase of fifth-tier UE Cornella in April. The report also noted that he is expected to receive a stake in Inter Miami once his playing contract ends.
