Lewandowski, 38, hits hat-trick in 6-0 Poland win

What the report says
Robert Lewandowski led Poland to a dominant 6-0 win over 10-man Romania in the Nations League, scoring a hat-trick in Warsaw for his seventh international treble. Romania were reduced to 10 men when Tottenham defender Radu Dragusin was sent off in the 22nd minute, after which Poland took control through Lewandowski’s penalty, an early second-half goal, and further strikes from an own goal, Piotr Zielinski and Jan Bednarek. The result leaves Poland third in Group B4, with Romania fourth. BBC Sport noted that Romania manager Gheorghe Hagi has now lost his first three competitive matches in charge.
The same round of matches also featured an emotional farewell for Bosnia-Herzegovina forward Edin Dzeko, who retired from international football after a 1-1 draw with Sweden in Zenica. Dzeko, 40, was honoured by supporters and team officials in a match that marked his 152nd appearance for his country. BBC Sport reported that he was substituted to a standing ovation and later received further tributes, including a ceremony and a drone display.
Elsewhere in the Nations League, Belgium moved up to second in Group A1 with a 3-0 win over Turkey, helped by two goals from Kevin De Bruyne. Hungary claimed their first victory of the campaign by beating Georgia 1-0, with Liverpool defender Milos Kerkez scoring the decisive goal. The results underline how the group stage is still shaping qualification positions across the competition.
