Leak reveals what to expect from Samsung’s smart glasses at Unpacked tomorrow - Android Authority

What the report says
Android Authority reported that a new leak has outlined expected specifications and features for Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy Glasses ahead of a Samsung Unpacked event scheduled for the following day. Citing a WinFuture report, the outlet said Samsung is expected to share more details about Android XR-based smart glasses alongside launches of new foldables and smartwatches, though the glasses may only receive a preview rather than a full release.
According to the report summarized by Android Authority, the glasses are expected to use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon AR1 Gen 1 chip, a processor designed for smart glasses and augmented-reality-adjacent devices. The leak says Samsung may not include built-in displays in this generation, despite the chip’s support for display output, instead emphasizing camera use, audio interaction and a lightweight design. Battery life is said to reach up to nine hours per charge, with a charging case reportedly capable of providing as many as seven additional full charges.
The article says the glasses are being developed with Google, Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. The leaked details point to two cameras mounted in the frame and integration with Google’s Gemini assistant, allowing users to ask for help analyzing surroundings or capturing information for use on a paired Samsung phone. Other cited use cases include voice commands, touch controls on the temples, navigation help, live translation, camera sharing and gesture control when paired with the expected Galaxy Watch 9 series.
Android Authority noted that availability may not come until fall 2026, potentially aligned with new eyewear collections from Warby Parker and Gentle Monster. If confirmed, the product would mark another major step by Samsung and Google into AI-enabled wearable devices.
