What the report says

Jalopnik reports that Lamborghini and the Halo team have created a one-off Urus SE “Master Chief 117 Edition” to promote “Halo: Campaign Evolved,” a remake of “Halo: Combat Evolved” scheduled for release on July 28, 2026. The real vehicle is not planned for sale, but a digital version is set to be available as a free livery in “Forza Horizon 6” beginning July 30, according to the outlet.

The Halo-themed Urus uses matte green bodywork inspired by Master Chief’s armor, with 117 markings, UNSC branding, gold-tinted windows meant to evoke the character’s visor and yellow headlight lenses. Underneath the promotional wrap, Jalopnik says it remains a standard Urus SE, powered by a plug-in-hybrid twin-turbo V8 rated at 789 horsepower. Lamborghini is also running a sweepstakes for a limited number of 1:18-scale models of the special-edition design.

At the Culver City event, Jalopnik’s Daniel Golson also viewed Hoonigan’s full-size Warthog replica, originally built in 2021 with Xbox for “Halo Infinite.” The build is described as using a rock-crawler chassis, a turbocharged Ford Windsor V8, four-wheel steering hardware and 43-inch tires. Golson reported sitting in the vehicle and hearing it run, though he did not ride in it.

The partnership illustrates how automakers and game publishers are using crossover promotions to reach audiences beyond traditional car marketing. Based on Jalopnik’s account, the campaign combines a physical show car, in-game content, collectibles and nostalgia around one of Xbox’s best-known franchises.
