NBCSports.com’s ProFootballTalk reported that San Francisco 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan made a limited appearance at the team’s practice on Sunday while continuing to recover from injuries suffered in a July 14 car accident. The report, citing Matt Maiocco of NBC Sports Bay Area, said Shanahan was on the practice field for about 30 minutes.

According to the report, Shanahan observed much of the 11-on-11 work alongside general manager John Lynch, with the two positioned well behind the secondary. NBCSports.com reported that Shanahan’s training camp involvement is being restricted because of the effects of a severe concussion and other injuries from the crash.
