Kings Kids Nursery and Primary Schools Director Speaks Out on Performance Improvement

What the report says
Kings Kids Nursery and Primary School in Pallisa District has been highlighted as a strong performer in local education, with the school’s director, Mrs. Immaculate Oriide, discussing the practices she believes support improved results. According to Dokolo Post, the school began years ago as a small Sunday school gathering under a tree before developing into a full nursery and primary institution linked to AGAPE International Ministries.
The article says Kings Kids has led Pallisa District academically for eight consecutive years. It reported that in the previous PLE cycle, the school presented 45 candidates and 31 achieved Division One, a share that stood out in the district’s overall results. This year, the school has 40 candidates, and Mrs. Oriide said the administration has increased staffing and support in an effort to aim for a 100% pass rate when results are released later.
Mrs. Oriide told the publisher that committed teachers, closer supervision, parent involvement and regular assessment are central to the school’s approach. She also said families are expected to provide scholastic materials and support feeding and remedial learning as part of the school’s model.
The report contrasted this with concerns from heads of nearby government schools, who described overcrowding, lack of materials and misunderstandings about free education policy. A district education official added that hunger and weak parental support can undermine learning, underscoring broader challenges in Pallisa’s public schools.
