He also acknowledged that a serious presidential campaign would require wider national mobilization, noting that the movement has not yet covered even 20 counties.

Sifuna framed the Linda Mwananchi platform as responding to public frustration over governance, accountability and the cost of living. The report says supporters have increasingly viewed him as a possible national candidate, while he has also spoken of building a political vehicle after tensions with sections of the Orange Democratic Movement leadership.

However, based on the Capital FM account, Sifuna has not formally declared a presidential bid; he has said only that he would accept the role if the movement’s supporters settle on him.
