The president used the trip to showcase ongoing and planned projects in Kisumu County. These included road construction and upgrades, housing and market projects, water and sanitation work, a new air traffic control tower at Kisumu International Airport, and a police headquarters. He also announced land for the Jua Kali sector. The report says the tour was attended by regional governors and other local leaders, underscoring the political and development significance of the visit as Kenya moves closer to the 2027 vote.
