Kenya: NCBA Golf Series Heads to Diamond Leisure As Grand Finale Draws Closer

What the report says
The NCBA Golf Series is set for a mini-qualifying stop at Diamond Leisure Golf Resort in Diani on Saturday, October 10, as the season moves toward its Grand Finale on November 29 at Karen Country Club in Nairobi. According to Capital FM, which AllAfrica distributed, the event will take place during the club’s monthly mug and give golfers another chance to secure places in the season-ending competition.
The report says the finale will bring together the series’ top performers, with prize money allocated across several categories. The overall gross winner, overall male winner and overall lady winner are each expected to receive Sh130,000, while runners-up and other category leaders will also receive cash awards. Organizers say more than 100 golfers are expected to compete in Diani, and the qualifying spots will go to winners across men’s, women’s, division and junior categories.
NCBA Group Managing Director John Gachora said the series continues to help grow golf in Kenya, create competition and build connections among players. He also said the company wants to make the sport more accessible and support junior talent. As additional context, golf series like this often serve both competitive and development roles, helping local players gain tournament experience and opportunities to advance, although the specific outcomes of this season will depend on the upcoming events.
