Kenya: Father Held After Daughter Dies Following Alleged Assault in Kibra

Police in Kibra, Nairobi, arrested a 47-year-old man on Sunday, September 6, 2026, after the death of his nine-year-old daughter, whom investigators say had suffered severe physical assault and sexual abuse. The man was identified by police as Norman Swahili. Police also said there were signs suggesting sexual assault, and detectives opened an inquiry into the circumstances of the death.
