Kenya: Fanta Launches New Cultural Movement Heralded By Mega Fantaverse Experience

What the report says
Fanta has introduced a new youth-focused cultural campaign in Kenya called #SkiziaUtamu, according to Capital FM’s report distributed by AllAfrica. The initiative is designed to combine music, campus life, creator activity, digital participation and branded experiences for young people across the country.
The campaign was launched on 22 August at Uhuru Gardens in Nairobi through a FantaVerse event that turned the venue into an immersive brand space. Performers included Chris Kaiga, Matt, MC Gogo, Nikita Kering and Collo Blue. The launch also unveiled a campaign anthem created with talent involved in the project, setting the tone for the wider rollout.
Capital FM reported that the campaign will run from August through November and will move to universities and colleges across Kenya. Planned elements include product sampling, DJ and MC sets, dance and rap battles, creator engagement, games, user-generated content participation and a campus competition tied to Fanta consumption and responsible packaging collection and recycling. Campuses that meet their targets can unlock a larger Fanta experience on site.
The broader significance is that Fanta is positioning the effort as a way to reach Gen Z audiences where they socialize and create content. A Coca-Cola Kenya marketing executive said the brand wants to strengthen its presence in youth spaces and encourage participation both offline and online.
