Kamara might miss QPR's next game over Finland row

What the report says
Queens Park Rangers could be without midfielder Glen Kamara for Friday’s Championship match against West Ham United if Fifa becomes involved in a dispute between the club and the Football Association of Finland, BBC Sport reports. Kamara, who is on loan at QPR from Rennes, has featured in most of QPR’s early-season league games and has been part of Finland’s current international window.
According to the Finnish federation, QPR withdrew the 30-year-old from international duty before Finland’s Uefa Nations League meeting with Hungary. Finland head coach Jacob Friis said the player was placed in a difficult position because the club wanted him back in London. QPR manager Julien Stephan said there was ongoing dialogue between the club and the Finnish FA and that a decision would be made after those talks.
BBC Sport notes that Fifa rules generally require players released for international duty to remain available for the full window unless an earlier return is agreed. The rules also limit when a player can return to club action after the window ends, unless the national association agrees otherwise. The Finnish FA has said it believes the regulations were not fully followed and plans to inform Fifa.
The issue matters because Friday’s game is scheduled only three days after the end of the international window, leaving open the possibility that Kamara may be unavailable unless the dispute is resolved. Finland said its immediate focus remained on its match with Hungary.
