Joshua Baraka takes B’rakaland EA journey to Mbale

What the report says
Ugandan music star Joshua Baraka is bringing his B’rakaland EA tour to Mbale this weekend, with a performance scheduled for Bandali Lounge on Saturday, September 12, according to Sqoop Uganda. The Eastern Uganda stop follows recent appearances in Gulu and Arua, as the singer continues a run of shows that has taken him beyond Kampala and into regional audiences across the country.
Sqoop Uganda reports that the tour is meant to help Baraka connect directly with fans while also sharing the story behind his rise in Uganda’s music scene. Baraka, who was recently named Johnnie Walker Icon Walker in Uganda and the face of the brand’s Keep Walking campaign, has tied the tour to his own career journey. In remarks carried by the publisher, he described the campaign message as personal and said he is still working toward more goals as an artiste.
The Mbale show is part of a wider itinerary that will later move to Mbarara before ending with a Kampala concert at Lugogo Cricket Oval in November. Kenyan singer Bien-Aimé Baraza and Ugandan artiste Naava Grey are already listed among the performers for the final Kampala event, with more names expected to be added. The tour reflects a broader trend in East African music of artistes taking live performances into multiple regions to build audience reach and strengthen fan engagement.
