Joshua Baraka is walking his way into the story of a generation

What the report says
Sqoop Uganda reported that Ugandan singer Joshua Baraka drew a large crowd over the weekend at Nkore Palace in Mbarara, where the final regional stop of his Brakaland Tour was held. The event was presented as a major moment in the rollout of his first-ever roadshow, with the publication saying thousands of revellers attended and the venue filled up as DJs built anticipation before Baraka’s performance.
According to the report, the show featured support from Johnnie Walker, the main sponsor of the tour, which had its whisky portfolio and cocktails available for attendees. A company representative, Julius Ssenungi, said Baraka’s career reflected the brand’s “Keep Walking” message and praised his growing recognition. Baraka then performed a set that included songs such as Nana, YoYo, Dive In, This Time, Wrong Places, Dreams, Morocco and Dalilah, with the article emphasizing how strongly the audience sang along.
The publisher framed the Mbarara concert as evidence of Baraka’s rising status in Ugandan music and his ability to connect with fans across the country. Baraka told the crowd he was grateful for the support and said the tour would now return to Kampala for its finale. Sqoop said the Uganda leg of Brakaland would conclude on Saturday, November 28, at the Kampala Hockey Grounds.
