John Segawa blames Chameleone for son Abba Marcus’ troubles

Actor and filmmaker John Segawa has stirred discussion in Uganda’s entertainment circles after blaming singer Jose Chameleone, whose real name is Joseph Mayanja, for the difficulties facing Chameleone’s son, Abba Marcus Mayanja. In a recent YouTube interview cited by Sqoop Uganda, Segawa argued that the focus should be on Abba’s upbringing in Uganda rather than on the United States, where the young man has reportedly lived for only about four years.

Segawa said Chameleone should be held responsible for the environment and foundation formed during Abba’s first 17 years, before he left for America at age 17.
