It Sure Looks Like the Dodge Charger Super Bee Is Coming Back With a Turbocharged Inline-Six - The Drive

The Drive reports that Dodge has teased what appears to be the return of the Charger Super Bee, with a reveal scheduled for Friday, Aug. 7, 2026. The outlet says Dodge released a 15-second teaser showing bees on a drag-strip starting light, buzzing audio and a musical reference to “black and yellow,” alongside the line “The next era of Dodge muscle.”

According to The Drive, Dodge described the upcoming model as the most powerful “sixpack”-powered Charger, which the article interprets as a reference to a higher-output version of Stellantis’ turbocharged Hurricane inline-six engine. The current Charger Scat Pack using the high-output Hurricane six is listed in the report at 550 horsepower and 531 lb-ft of torque. Dodge CEO Matt McLear previously told The Drive in March that the company would keep exploring how far the Hurricane I6 could be pushed.

The expected Super Bee revival matters because the badge is tied to Dodge’s classic muscle-car heritage, but this version would not use a Hemi V8. The Drive notes that another Bee-themed Stellantis model, the 2027 Ram SRT Rumble Bee, was revealed earlier this year with a Hellcat-derived supercharged 6.2-liter V8.

The report also places the teaser within Dodge’s broader product plans. Stellantis has announced a turnaround strategy involving dozens of new and refreshed vehicles by 2030, and The Drive says a future Charger SRT with styling cues from the Superbird era is expected to bring V8 power back to the Charger lineup.
