What the report says

Israeli drone strikes killed at least six Palestinians across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, according to Palestinian medical and emergency workers, as attacks continued despite a year-old ceasefire framework. The strikes were reported in northern, central and southern Gaza, including areas near Jabalia refugee camp, Gaza City, Deir el-Balah and Rafah. Medical sources cited by Palestinian news agency Wafa and hospital staff said some of the dead were civilians struck while near public areas or while returning from a burial.

Hospitals in Gaza said additional people were wounded in the attacks. Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City and Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in central Gaza each reported casualties from separate drone strikes. Al Jazeera’s reporting also noted witness accounts from Gaza City describing people hit while moving after a burial.

Gaza’s Health Ministry said 1,511 Palestinians had been killed and 5,375 injured since the ceasefire was announced on October 10, 2025. It also said the wider war, which began in October 2023, has left tens of thousands dead and wounded. Separately, UNICEF said more than 340 children have been killed since the ceasefire began, underscoring that children remain among those most affected by the ongoing violence.

The report also highlighted worsening conditions for Gaza’s 2.1 million residents, including widespread displacement, restricted access to large parts of the territory and rising food insecurity. Contextually, these figures reflect the continuing humanitarian crisis described by UN agencies and local health authorities.
