Israeli attacks kill one in Gaza, wound journalists in occupied West Bank

What the report says
Israeli attacks killed one person in Gaza City and wounded several others, according to emergency services cited by Al Jazeera, as violence continued a year after the ceasefire began. The strike hit a vehicle in the Tuffah neighbourhood in northeastern Gaza City on Tuesday. Al Jazeera also reported that a four-year-old boy in central Gaza died from injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli attack, bringing the number of Palestinians killed in Gaza since October 7, 2023, to more than 74,382, according to Wafa.
The report said Gaza’s Civil Defence warned of repeated forced displacement near the so-called Yellow Line, the boundary from which Israeli forces were meant to withdraw under the October 2025 ceasefire. It said Israeli explosions and gunfire had damaged tents for displaced families and weakened already-hit homes. Al Jazeera’s maps indicated that nearly two-thirds of Gaza is now under Israeli military control or subject to access restrictions, and that more than 80 percent of buildings have been destroyed or damaged.
In the occupied West Bank, Israeli raids in Ramallah and al-Bireh wounded a child and caused tear gas exposure among Palestinians, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said. Wafa reported that Palestine TV correspondent Khaled Mattawa was injured by a sound bomb and Sky News Arabia correspondent Firas Lutfi was hurt by shrapnel. Israeli forces also raided Palestinian NGO offices and the courtyard of the Palestine Medical Complex.
Al Jazeera said the raids appeared aimed at weakening the Palestinian Authority. Separately, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said Israel was preparing for possible confrontation with Palestinian Authority forces in the West Bank and vowed Israeli control across the territory.
