What the report says

Infotrust Property Consultants Limited has introduced a campaign that ties land purchases to school fees support, according to Nile Post. The initiative, called the Talala Planned Kid Campaign, was presented as a way to help families invest in property while also planning for children’s education. The announcement was made by Infotrust chief executive Miriam Tusubira Halera during an appearance on Salam TV’s Salam Breakfast Meeting show.

Under the promotion, buyers who purchase land worth Shs15 million are promised a school fees top-up of Shs500,000 each term for seven years. Nile Post reported that the money would be paid into a buyer’s designated school fees account, and any unused balance could be kept for other use. For customers choosing plots without land titles, Infotrust is offering an alternative package starting at Shs9 million, with a school fees top-up of Shs250,000 per term for seven years.

The company said the campaign is meant to make land ownership part of a wider family planning and education strategy. Halera also said buyers who change schools only need to inform the company so payment details can be updated. Infotrust said interested clients can visit its offices in Ntinda for site visits, documentation and registration. The offer is notable because it combines real estate marketing with a direct education-related incentive, reflecting a growing trend in Uganda of property firms using bundled benefits to attract middle-income buyers.
