Ugandan singer King Saha has told fans he is back home after what Sqoop Uganda described as a brief detention on Tuesday, only days before his planned Friday concert. The report says he had spent part of the day in Kampala promoting the show before being taken from his home in Kyanja.

According to the publisher’s account, eyewitnesses and videos circulating online showed armed security personnel at the residence before the singer was removed to an unknown location. The report also said witnesses claimed gunshots were fired during the operation and that one man was reportedly shot in the leg, though his condition had not been officially confirmed at the time.

Concern spread quickly on social media as fans posted messages of support and prayers. Saha later issued a short statement saying, “I’m out, thanks for your prayers,” but did not explain where he had been held, why he was detained, or the circumstances behind the incident.

The episode has drawn attention because it came during the build-up to a major concert Saha had been actively promoting. Sqoop Uganda’s report leaves key questions unresolved, but says his message has eased immediate fears among supporters while uncertainty remains about what led to the detention.
