I&M Bank Expands Asset Financing Campaign to Pickups, Tractors

What the report says
I&M Bank Uganda has launched the second season of its Tukikube ne I&M Bank campaign, broadening its asset-financing offer to include pickup trucks, tractors and other vehicles. The bank said the programme is aimed at helping businesses and farmers obtain productive equipment without using up working capital. The launch took place on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at Source of the Nile Hotel in Jinja, with customers, local leaders and other stakeholders in attendance.
According to the report by Nile Post, the campaign is being run with Victoria Motors and Ndovu Motors. Eligible customers can finance a new pickup truck at a stated monthly payment of Shs4.6 million and a new tractor at Shs2.3 million. The bank said the scheme is intended for a wide range of users, including schools, health facilities, construction firms, transport operators and businesses investing in sustainable energy.
I&M Bank chief executive Robin Bairstow said the lender sees asset finance as a way to support investment, expansion and long-term sustainability. Victoria Motors official Emmanuel Muyunga highlighted financial literacy and said the vehicles would come with maintenance support for two years, while Ndovu Motors’ Mikkah Okello encouraged long-term planning and modern farming methods. In a broader sense, such financing can help firms spread costs over time while keeping cash available for daily operations, a common feature of asset-financing products.
