Hull's Gourna-Douath crashes near training ground

What the report says
Hull City midfielder Lucas Gourna-Douath was involved in a car crash near the club’s training ground in Cottingham, East Yorkshire, according to BBC Sport Football. The incident happened on Millhouse Woods Lane, with the BBC reporting that a black Mercedes believed to belong to the 24-year-old ended up on its side. A local resident told the BBC that the vehicle also damaged her car.
Hull City said it was aware of images circulating on social media about a road traffic accident near the training ground and confirmed that no one was hurt. Humberside Police said emergency services were called at 08:30 GMT. The road was also the scene of a separate crash involving Hull player Sorba Thomas in September, making this the second such incident involving a club player there in about three weeks.
The BBC’s local reporting highlighted concern from residents about safety on the road, particularly because of school traffic. One nearby resident said the crash could easily have happened while families were walking to school, while another said she has long wanted the speed limit reduced and called for measures to prevent future incidents. The episode matters because it raises fresh questions about road safety near a busy training-ground route and has drawn public attention to the location.
