Hull agree deal with Frankfurt for winger Bahoya

What the report says
Hull City have reached an agreement with Eintracht Frankfurt to sign winger Jean-Matteo Bahoya, according to BBC Sport Football. The 21-year-old France Under-21 international is reported to be open to the move and has been allowed to travel for a medical in East Yorkshire ahead of Tuesday’s transfer deadline.
Bahoya has been with Frankfurt since joining from Angers in 2024 and has made 78 appearances for the German club, scoring seven goals and providing eight assists. BBC Sport noted that he plays mainly on the left but can operate in several attacking roles. The report also says he has appeared in the Champions League and Europa League and holds the Bundesliga speed record after being timed at 23.09mph in a match against Bochum in 2025.
If completed, the transfer would be Hull’s 13th signing of the summer as the club continues a significant rebuild under Sergej Jakirovic. Hull returned to the Premier League through last season’s play-offs and have started the new campaign with wins over Manchester United and Coventry City.
The move underlines Hull’s aggressive recruitment approach as they try to strengthen for life back in the top flight, while Frankfurt would lose a young attacker who has already gained experience in both domestic and European competition.
