Hull agree £22m fee for Everton's Iroegbunam

What the report says
Hull City have agreed a £22m package to sign Everton midfielder Tim Iroegbunam, according to BBC Sport Football. The 23-year-old is expected to move to the Championship club after being given permission to travel to East Yorkshire for a medical.
The deal is understood to be worth an initial £13m, with a further £9m possible through add-ons. Iroegbunam joined Everton from Aston Villa for £9m in 2024 and has made 53 appearances for the club. If completed, the transfer would be another major addition to Hull’s squad late in the window.
BBC Sport said the move is part of a busy final stretch before Tuesday night’s transfer deadline. Hull are reportedly aiming to bring in several more players and could make Iroegbunam their 13th signing of the summer. Talks are also continuing over a loan move for Chelsea midfielder Dario Essugo.
For Everton, the agreement comes amid a wider reshaping of the squad. The club have already agreed to sell winger Iliman Ndiaye to Manchester City for £65m and are pursuing further incoming and outgoing deals. The reported switch matters because it reflects how both clubs are using the closing days of the market to adjust their squads for the season ahead.
