How C-Care Uganda rallied behind thousands at the 2026 Rotary Cancer Run

C-Care Uganda took part in the 2026 Rotary Cancer Run in Kampala over the weekend, serving as a healthcare partner at Kololo Independence Grounds. According to The Independent Uganda, the company’s medical teams offered first aid, emergency response, hydration and post-run wellness support for runners and other participants, while also encouraging people to pay attention to symptoms and seek regular health checks.

The event drew thousands of Ugandans to the 15th edition of the annual run, which was held under the theme “Ggwanga Mujje.” The campaign brought together cancer survivors, families, health workers, corporate groups, Rotarians and members of the public in support of efforts to fight cancer and improve treatment capacity in Uganda.

The Independent Uganda reported that the 2026 run aimed to raise UGX 5 billion and mobilise 100,000 runners. Funds were to support completion and equipment for the Cancer Treatment Centre at St. Francis Hospital Nsambya, including space for Linear Accelerator radiotherapy machines. C-Care said its role in the event aligned with its broader focus on awareness, prevention, early detection and access to care.
