Hearts agree £1.7m deal to sell winger Kyziridis

Heart of Midlothian have agreed to sell Greece winger Alexandros Kyziridis to an unnamed Turkish club in a deal reported by BBC Sport to be worth about £1.7m. The move is expected to be completed after the 25-year-old travels to Turkey to finalise the transfer.

BBC Sport says Kyziridis joined Hearts from Slovakian side Zemplin Michalovce last summer on a three-year contract and drew interest from several clubs during the close season. He became an important attacking player for head coach Derek McInnes, contributing six goals and 11 assists in 42 appearances. He also made his senior international debut for Greece in a friendly against Italy this summer.

The report adds that Kyziridis featured for Hearts against Benfica in Lisbon last week before the transfer progressed. His departure comes as Hearts continue to reshape their wide options, with Josh McPake and Calvin Miller also joining in similar roles this summer under the club’s recruitment approach linked to Jamestown Analytics.

For Hearts, the sale provides a notable fee for a player who arrived only a year earlier and could help fund further squad changes. For the Turkish club, it brings in an attacker who had a strong first season in Scotland and has now begun to establish himself internationally.
