Hajj Abdul Bisaso Takes Charge of Ssingo Football, Offers Shs20 Million Title Bonus

What the report says
Nile Post reports that Ssingo County has chosen Kassanda South MP Hajji Abdul Bisaso to lead its football committee, placing him in charge ahead of the county’s next Masaza Cup campaign. Bisaso succeeds Ronald Ssekajja, whose term has ended after managing the county’s football affairs. The handover was attended by Ssingo County Chief Deo Kajimu, who thanked Ssekajja for his role in supporting football development in the county.
According to the report, Bisaso said his immediate priority was to address player welfare and restore financial order. He told those present that outstanding payments owed to players had been cleared, allowing the team to begin its preparations without unresolved payment disputes. He also pledged a Shs20 million bonus to be shared by the players if Ssingo wins the 2026/27 Masaza Cup.
Bisaso called for cooperation among committee members, coaches, players and supporters, saying the county’s performance would depend on planning, discipline and collective effort. His leadership begins as Ssingo prepares to face Bugerere on Sunday in the Masaza Cup, a prominent football competition organized by the Buganda Kingdom and contested by counties across Buganda.
The development matters because Masaza Cup football draws significant local support and is often tied to county pride, talent development and community mobilization. Nile Post reports that the leadership change, along with promises on player payments and incentives, has increased optimism among supporters that Ssingo can compete strongly for the title.
