Guinness World Records Recognises Raymond Kahuma after Cooking Supersized Ugandan Rolex

TUKO reported that Ugandan street food enthusiast Raymond Kahuma and a group of friends have been officially recognised by Guinness World Records for preparing what the publisher described as the world’s largest Ugandan Rolex. The dish, a popular Ugandan snack made by wrapping eggs, tomatoes and vegetables in chapati, was prepared in Uganda as a public culinary stunt and documented on video.

According to the report, Kahuma’s team mixed and cooked a giant chapati on an oversized pan while others prepared the egg and vegetable filling. After the ingredients were assembled, Kahuma rolled the chapati into a supersized Rolex, which was then weighed. TUKO said the finished item weighed 204 kilograms and was later shared with members of the public, with the outlet saying it could feed more than 500 people.

The video, also shared on Guinness World Records’ Facebook page, drew a large online response. TUKO noted that many comments were playful, though several viewers questioned hygiene during the preparation. The publisher framed the reaction as mostly light-hearted, with many users acknowledging the scale of the undertaking.

The record is notable because the Rolex is closely associated with Ugandan street food culture, despite its name having no link to the Swiss watch brand. TUKO also noted that Kahuma had previously attracted attention for food-related stunts, including an attempt involving a giant chapati and a viral chapati outfit, placing the new Guinness recognition in the context of his broader public culinary projects.
