Grealish can still have Everton future - Moyes

What the report says
Everton manager David Moyes says Jack Grealish still has a future at the club, although he would not say when the midfielder might be available again. The BBC reported that Grealish missed both of Everton’s wins over Newcastle this week after a disciplinary issue, with the club first leaving him out of Thursday’s 3-1 Carabao Cup victory and then ruling him out again for Monday’s 1-0 Premier League win at St James’ Park.
Moyes was reluctant to go into detail after the latest match, saying only that Grealish is currently unavailable and that a decision on his return will be made with the club when the time is right. When asked whether the issue was over, he declined to comment directly, but he did say there is “of course” a route back for the player.
Grealish, 31, is on loan from Manchester City and has been trying to restart his career at Everton after falling out of favour at the Etihad. BBC Sport noted that he played a part in City’s Treble-winning season in 2022-23 and that his current loan spell has been interrupted after six appearances this term. Everton’s next game is against Coventry on Friday, but Moyes said he was unsure whether Grealish would be involved. The situation matters because it affects Everton’s squad options and the long-term prospects of a high-profile player whose future remains unsettled.
