Grace Nakimera’s ‘Power of Grace’ to blend nostalgia, comeback and giving back

What the report says
Ugandan singer Grace Nakimera is preparing for a return to live performance with The Power of Grace Live Concert, scheduled for Friday, September 11, at Kampala Serena Hotel. According to Sqoop Uganda, the show is being framed as both a comeback and a nostalgic celebration for fans who remember her earlier music career.
The concert was launched on Monday, August 31, with I&M Bank Uganda named as lead partner. The event brought together several performers and entertainment figures, including Cindy Sanyu, Aziz Azion, David Lutaalo, Kid Fox and host Douglas Lwanga. The launch also served as the premiere for Nakimera’s new single, Everything, signaling a fresh phase in her music return.
Sqoop Uganda reported that Nakimera’s entrance at the launch was staged to reflect her journey away from the spotlight and her determination to come back. Fellow artistes at the event praised her influence and resilience, while Nakimera said preparations were going well and promised fans her best performance on the night of the concert.
Beyond entertainment, the concert is also tied to charity. A portion of the proceeds will support her Feed the Streets Foundation, including communities such as Katogo Kinawataka. The event therefore combines a music comeback with a social-purpose message, adding broader significance to Nakimera’s return to the stage.
