Government Targets 20% Revenue-to-GDP Ratio by FY2029/30

The government is targeting an increase in Uganda’s revenue-to-GDP ratio from 14.7 per cent to 20 per cent by financial year 2029/30, with Finance Minister Henry Musasizi calling for a broader tax base, improved compliance and stronger revenue administration rather than higher tax rates.
