PlayStation LifeStyle reports that Sony’s PlayStation Store has begun showing the first set of titles scheduled to leave the PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium catalogs in August 2026. The information appeared as the July PlayStation Plus lineup started becoming available in regions where it was already Tuesday, July 21. The site says the list was taken from Japanese and Asian PS Store listings, with other regions expected to update later according to local store timing.

According to the report, the August departures currently include Dead Island 2, Earth Defense Force 6, Unicorn Overlord and Harold Halibut. Several games previously set to exit in July were also shifted into the August removal window: Clash: Artifacts of Chaos, Onee Chanbara Origin, Space Crew: Legendary Edition, Bomber Crew and Roki. PlayStation LifeStyle notes that there may be small regional differences once other storefronts refresh.

The games are expected to leave PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium by Tuesday, August 18, when the next monthly catalog update is due to be added. For subscribers, this matters because games in the Extra and Premium libraries are not permanently available through the service; once removed, users generally need to buy a title separately to continue playing unless they already own it.

PlayStation Plus Extra and Premium are Sony’s higher subscription tiers, offering rotating game catalogs in addition to the online multiplayer and monthly game benefits associated with the base Essential plan. The reported removals give subscribers several weeks’ notice to prioritize any titles they still want to finish.
