From WiFi to 'relief' - how was Ferguson's Irish League debut?

What the report says
Duncan Ferguson’s first match in charge of Glentoran ended in a 1-1 draw away to league leaders Coleraine, giving the former Everton and Scotland striker an encouraging start in the Northern Ireland Irish Premiership. BBC Sport reported that the late equaliser, scored by Jordan Stewart, rescued a point after Coleraine had led through Joel Cooper. Ferguson described the result as a “relief” after a week in which he had been adjusting to his new role and learning more about the club and league.
The article said Ferguson was appointed in a high-profile move for Irish League football and came into the job after previous managerial spells at Forest Green Rovers and Inverness Caledonian Thistle. His first scheduled game for Glentoran, against Ballymena United, was postponed because of a waterlogged pitch at the Oval, so his debut came at Coleraine. BBC Sport noted that he had also been dealing with lighter moments off the pitch, including a widely shared video of him searching for the WiFi password at the Oval.
On the field, Ferguson set up his side cautiously against a Coleraine team that had been among the division’s strongest attacking sides. He said Glentoran were too passive at times in the first half but improved after the break and showed determination to earn a point. He also said he had been doing his “homework” on the league and would continue preparing for Glentoran’s next match against Carrick Rangers.
