Fr Male urges Kisubi Mapeera candidates to seek God as they prepare for- exams

What the report says
Kisubi Mapeera Senior Secondary School in Entebbe used its 27th anniversary celebrations to encourage candidates preparing for the Uganda Certificate of Education and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education exams to balance study with prayer and discipline. The event drew students, parents, teachers, religious leaders and government officials, and included a Mass and performances by the school choirs.
According to Nile Post, the main speaker was the Chancellor of Kampala Archdiocese, Rev. Fr. Dr. Pius Male Sentumbwe, who told Senior Four and Senior Six students to stay humble, remain committed to their faith and keep working hard in their studies. He said their behavior during the exam period matters alongside academic preparation. The school’s celebrations also included prayers for the candidates.
Deputy Inspector General of Government Dr. Patricia Okiria Achan also addressed the gathering. She urged students to take their studies seriously while trusting God, and advised those following the new curriculum not to be anxious about the changes. School leaders reinforced the same message, calling on candidates to use the remaining preparation time well.
The report said Kisubi Mapeera has more than 700 Senior Four and Senior Six students expected to sit final exams this year. The anniversary provided a moment to reflect on the school’s 27-year history while praying for the success of its candidates.
