Forest in advanced talks to sign Munoz from Palace

What the report says
Nottingham Forest are in advanced talks to sign Crystal Palace defender Daniel Munoz in a deal BBC Sport says is now agreed in principle, with the move reported to be worth at least £22m and potentially rising to £25m. The Colombia international has been allowed to undergo a medical ahead of the transfer, which would see him move to the Premier League side after two seasons at Selhurst Park.
BBC Sport reported that discussions gathered pace after Palace’s 4-1 defeat by Manchester City on Friday, following several days of negotiations. The transfer would reunite Munoz with Forest manager Oliver Glasner, who previously coached him at Palace. Munoz joined Palace from Genk in 2024 and has since become an important figure for the club, helping them win the FA Cup and the Europa Conference League under Glasner.
According to the report, Palace are willing to sell this summer and have already moved to cover for a possible exit by signing Anan Khalaili earlier in the window. Munoz, 30, has made 109 appearances for Palace and scored 11 goals. He featured in the club’s opening league game at Everton but was an unused substitute against Manchester City. The move matters because Forest are strengthening a key defensive area while Palace prepare for a notable change in their squad.
