Halo Waypoint reported that early access for “Halo: Campaign Evolved” has begun for players who pre-ordered the Digital Premium Edition or Collector’s Bundle. The early-access period supports solo play and four-player cross-platform co-op, and the game is listed as available on Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Steam. An update dated July 23 said early access was available on all platforms, with players able to claim a Sandstone Ancient armor style as a thank-you item.

According to the publisher, the release revisits the original Halo campaign with rebuilt visuals, redesigned sound and new cinematics. Halo Waypoint also said Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass subscribers will be able to play after the global launch on July 28, 2026, at 8 a.m. PDT. All players are also set to receive Silver Anniversary Armor and Assault Rifle Styles tied to Halo’s 25th anniversary, accessible through the customization menu.

The post includes setup guidance for cross-platform co-op. Players using different platforms are directed to create or use a Microsoft account, choose an Xbox Gamertag, add friends through Xbox services and then invite or join friends from the game’s co-op menu. PlayStation and Steam players are prompted on first launch to link their platform ID to an Xbox Gamertag.

Halo Waypoint also pointed players to Halo Support resources covering account linking, split-screen and cross-platform co-op, accessibility settings, PC specifications and performance optimization.
