Duchess Meghan shares peek inside vacation with Prince Harry, their kids - USA Today
What the report says
USA Today reported that Duchess Meghan offered a rare look at a European family vacation with Prince Harry and their children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet, through an Instagram carousel posted July 23. The images appeared to show the family in Portugal, including a restaurant photo featuring an Alentejo region sign, along with scenes from the beach, countryside and a swimming pool.
The post showed Harry in a backward baseball cap playing with Lilibet in the pool, and another image showed Meghan on the sand while Harry and the children walked toward the water. USA Today noted that the children’s faces were kept out of view or obscured, consistent with the Sussexes’ efforts to protect their privacy. Other photos included a rear-view image of the family in a garden, Archie seated in an aircraft cockpit while pilots guided him, and Meghan spending time with the family’s rescue beagle, Mamma Mia.
The vacation post followed a closely watched family reunion in Britain. Citing BBC reporting, USA Today said King Charles and Queen Camilla hosted Harry, Meghan, Archie and Lilibet at Highgrove House in Gloucestershire on July 10. The meeting was described as the children’s first reunion with their grandfather and Camilla in four years.
The development drew attention because Harry and Meghan’s relationship with the royal family has remained under scrutiny since they stepped back from senior royal duties and relocated to California in 2020. USA Today framed the reunion as significant amid long-running concerns raised by the couple about security and amid reported negotiations over arrangements for the visit.
