Dread Lazer Turn Up: FOMO and hype as performer line-up is unveiled

What the report says
Sqoop Uganda reports that the performer line-up for the second edition of Dread Lazer Turn Up has been unveiled ahead of the event, which is scheduled for September 4 at Kati Kati Grounds in Kampala. The announcement was made at a pre-game party held at Linus Tattoo Studio in Bukoto, where media, partygoers and some of the confirmed performers gathered in an atmosphere designed to build anticipation.
According to the report, the confirmed DJs include Bugy, City Girl, Etania, Kash Pro and Linus Sydney. Viana Indie is expected to host and keep the crowd engaged, while Saint Trevor, Josh Mc and Benjhi are also part of the lineup. The article describes the event as one of the city’s major party dates and says the pre-party offered a preview of the music and energy revellers can expect.
The feature also notes sponsorship involvement from Smirnoff, which used the launch event to highlight its party branding and mention a new product, Smirnoff Spicy Tamarind. Raymond Karama, identified as the brand manager, said the company intended to bring its full flavour experience to the turn-up. Broadly, event unveilings like this are common in Kampala’s entertainment scene, where promoters use launch parties to generate buzz and encourage advance ticket sales.
