Yahoo Sports reported that the Los Angeles Dodgers visited the White House on Thursday to mark their 2025 World Series championship, returning after winning back-to-back titles. During the ceremony, team owner Mark Walter presented President Donald Trump with a personalized World Series ring in addition to the customary team jersey often given during championship visits.

Trump praised the Dodgers as repeat champions and said he hoped they would return again the following year. Most of the roster attended, according to the report, including Shohei Ohtani, Freddie Freeman, Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Max Muncy. Trump also singled out postseason contributors Will Klein and Miguel Rojas during his remarks.

Hernández had previously indicated he probably would not have gone even if healthy.

The event also included Trump administration figures Robert F. Kennedy Jr., Markwayne Mullin and Brooke Rollins, whom Trump described as Dodgers fans. The report said Trump spent much of the ceremony revisiting the Dodgers’ championship run and praising players, while also making several inaccurate comments about Babe Ruth’s career and trade history in a comparison involving Ohtani. White House visits by championship teams are a long-running tradition, though player attendance has sometimes reflected personal, political or scheduling considerations.
