Notebookcheck reports that Samsung’s expected Galaxy S27 lineup may not adopt two next-generation components that had appeared in earlier rumors: UFS 5.0 storage and LPDDR6 RAM. The report, published July 28, cites information from leaker Lanzuk, also referenced through Naver Blogs user yeux1122, and says the Galaxy S27 Ultra is now tipped to remain on older memory and storage standards despite other anticipated upgrades.

According to Notebookcheck, prior leaks had suggested that the Galaxy S27 Ultra and Galaxy S27 Pro could receive UFS 5.0 storage, but the latest claim says Samsung will not be among the few smartphone makers using both UFS 5.0 and LPDDR6 in flagship models next year. The article adds that devices using those newer components may appear only in limited-edition quantities from select manufacturers. If the Ultra skips the parts, the report says the Pro model is expected to do the same.

The publication notes that it is still unclear whether the limitation would apply across all Galaxy S27 variants, including models using Qualcomm’s reported Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and others using Samsung’s expected Exynos 2700. Samsung has not confirmed the Galaxy S27 specifications in the supplied report, so the claims remain unverified until official launch details or stronger supply-chain evidence emerge.

The issue matters because storage and memory speeds can affect app loading, file transfers, camera workflows and long-term performance.
