Dangote Breaks Ground on Shs62tn Lamu Refinery

Dangote said the refinery is meant to reduce Africa’s reliance on imported refined fuels and to increase local processing of crude oil and other raw materials. The development is also tied to the Lamu Port-South Sudan-Ethiopia Transport Corridor, which gives it a broader regional infrastructure role.
