Couples Urged to Establish Joint Investments

The Uganda Muslim Supreme Council’s Secretary for Religious Affairs, Sheikh Imran Abdnoor Ssali, has encouraged Muslim couples to set up joint investments and businesses as a way to improve household stability and support better livelihoods. Nile Post reported that he delivered the message on Sunday during the wedding of businessman Abigaba Hamid Mugisa and Fatuma Yunusu Musiima at Rona Gardens in Seguku, Wakiso District.

Sheikh Ssali said couples who cooperate financially can build a stronger base for their families and avoid some of the pressures that contribute to marital strain. He also urged the newlyweds to anchor their marriage in righteousness, religious observance and mutual reminders about their duties, saying faith and responsibility help sustain family life. His remarks linked marital harmony with shared work, respect and attentiveness to each other’s needs.
