Cindy Sanyu calls Crysto Panda, Gloria Bugie feud a ‘fair fight’

Singer Cindy Sanyu has weighed in on the online dispute between Crysto Panda and Gloria Bugie, describing the exchange as a "fair fight" even while saying Bugie went too far by bringing up Panda’s family losses. The remarks, reported by Sqoop Uganda, come amid a widening row that has drawn in other Ugandan entertainment figures.

According to the publisher, the feud escalated after Bugie posted comments that appeared to mock Panda over losing his parents and a child, while also attacking his career and finances. She later apologised to her supporters, saying she had responded after what she called repeated personal attacks on her, her work and her family, but she did not directly name Panda in that apology. Panda has previously spoken publicly about the loss of his father in childhood and his mother while still in high school.

Cindy argued in a recent interview that both sides had used hurtful personal insults, saying criticism of a woman’s body can be deeply damaging, while also acknowledging that mentioning bereavement crossed a line. Her comments differ from those of Sheebah Karungi, who had earlier condemned the use of Panda’s grief as a weapon and urged him to step away from the confrontation.

The dispute appears to have grown from criticism about music, finances and appearance into a more personal battle, with possible legal threats also reported. Sqoop Uganda said the latest intervention adds to pressure on both entertainers to end the feud and move on.
