Cindy, Fik Fameica to Headline Tusker Lite Neon Rave in Kasese

What the report says
Uganda’s Mt Rwenzori Marathon is set to pair sport and entertainment when its fifth edition concludes in Kasese with the Tusker Lite Neon Rave on August 22. According to Nile Post, the post-race concert will be headlined by Ugandan stars Fik Fameica and Cindy Sanyu, giving runners and spectators a musical finale after the marathon course near the Rwenzori Mountains.
Organisers say the event is being used to showcase the race’s growth beyond athletics, with tourism, music and community participation now part of the wider package. Tusker Lite Brand Manager Sandra Againe said the goal is to make the edition feel like a milestone, reflecting the marathon’s expansion and its rising profile. The race has also gained Label Marathon status and is on the World Athletics calendar, the publication reported.
Nile Post said local performers from Kasese and nearby areas will also take part, alongside DJs and Tusker Lite influencers. Fik Fameica is expected to perform songs from his catalogue, while Cindy Sanyu returns to the event after appearing in the 2023 edition. The newspaper also noted that Cindy recently received a reggae award in South Africa, while Fik Fameica took part in the unveiling of the marathon’s 2026 kit.
Registration for the marathon remains open, with entry fees listed for East African Community citizens and residents, as well as international runners. Participants who sign up for the race will also be able to attend the Neon Rave.
